Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi, popularly known as 'Twins', are Asia's hottest pop act. In their action movie debut, they play a pair of vampire slayers bonded in blood as they take on an ancient evil. Guiding them in their battle is a high-kicking Hong Kong paramedic, played, in a special appearance, by international action superstar Jackie Chan. Behind the camera, the film combines the talents of award-winning filmmaker Dante Lam, from 'Beast Cops', and action director Donnie Yen, of 'Blade 2'.

Swiss-born European actor Mickey Hardt, star of the German action TV series 'Der Puma', plays the villain of the piece.

"The Twins Effect" is the latest actioner from EMG, producers of the forthcoming US$40m Jackie Chan blockbuster 'Highbinders', and was shot on location in Hong Kong and Thailand.

Ace vampire slayer Reeve (Ekin Cheng) tracks his arch-enemy, the Duke Dekotes (Mickey Hardt) to Hong Kong. The Duke is hunting for Kazaf (Edison Chen), the fifth prince of the vampire nation. With Kazaf's blood and the ancient vampire bible, the Duke will bring a new age of darkness. On arrival, Reeve learns that he has a new partner, a feisty but inexperienced young beauty named Gypsy (Gillian Chung). Matters are further complicated when Reeve's innocent younger sister, Helen (Charlene Choi), develops a romantic relationship with Kazaf. With all the odds against them, our heroes get some unexpected help in the form of high-kicking paramedic Jackie Fong (Jackie Chan). poor Esteban makes a vow to marry Rosa, the sister of a young Clara. Esteban works hard in the gold mines until he has enough money to buy a small farm in the country. He sends for Rosa. Esteban is devastated and goes to live on his farm alone. He works hard and eventually becomes rich. While in town at his mother's funeral he sees a grown Clara and proposes marriage. At this, Clara begins to speak again. They live at his farm and have a daughter, Blanca. Blanca is sent to boarding school, but on her summers at home falls for a worker on her father's farm, Pedro, who happens to be a revolutionary. She becomes pregnant by him and her father puts a reward on his head. Blanca and her mother move back into the city to get away from an angry Esteban. Blanca has her daughter. Esteban becomes a senator. Eventually, Esteban visits Clara and Blanca and they make up. Surprisingly, the revolutionary party wins an election and Pedro can see Blanca and his daughter. Unfortunately, there is a coup by the conservatives and both Blanca and Pedro are hunted down in connection with the revolutionary party

A highlight of Category III sleaze last year was most certainly the darkly nasty NAKED POISON. This is a sequel in name only, but does star the most talented girls from the previous picture, once again taking off all of their clothes and rubbing up and down on everything that moves. The plot concerns Sophia Ngan losing her memory each morning ever since her lover's murder, and tattooing clues on her body to what she discovers each day, sort of a porno MEMENTO. What she does discover concerning the murder is less important that setting up one scene after another that has no other purpose than to get everyone naked for a while. Shot on video. It's a terrible movie, but fans of Sophia Ngan will probably not want to miss it.

Another sequel in name only, this sanitized Category IIB product deals with the titillating stuff right away. Evil dentist Ma Tak-Chung has a thing for girls in uniform. He does his nurse regularly with violence and fantasy rape as a turn-on. It isn’t enough for the sick bastard, cause he starts raping other uniformed cuties. He gets drawn to high-schooler Jenny (Category III starlet Chung Chun) and arranges an elaborate plan to rape her. However, things go wrong and he must deal with Jenny’s pissed off policewoman sister (Athena Chu), who gets demoted from detective to PC at around the same time. That means (gasp!) she's wearing a uniform, and then she becomes the obvious next target.
As set-ups go, this one screams “Wong Jing” from the get-go, and his fingerprints are all over this piece of exploitation. The camera spends a lot of time leering at both Chung Chun and Athena Chu, giving this film a sleazy kiddie-porn aspect that feels more than a bit uncomfortable. Chu’s much-publicized “sexy performance” consists of a lot of flirty looks at the camera but not much else. At the very least, the film features Francis Ng as Chu’s would-be paramour, a charmingly pathetic ex-con triad. His comic charisma redeems the film. Well, half of it anyway. (Kozo 1998)

Red to Kill is a HK Cat III classic that is as politically incorrect as it is disturbing and violent. The film stars Ben Ng as a completely “over-the–top” psychopath who has an obvious problem with the colour red…basically turning him into a raving lunatic. His violent sexual tendencies towards the attractive but mentally handicapped (Lily Chung) easily puts this film in the “tasteless and shameless” category.

There are two elements to this film that make is noteworthy…not necessarily good, but noteworthy. The first: Ben Ng is absolutely insane…an over the top wacko and he plays his role to the hilt…just thinking of him in those wicked hot pants slamming his sledgehammer from wall to ceiling and screaming his lungs out…it’s the performance of a life time and I hope I never have to see anything like it again. The second: Lily Chung plays a retarded inmate who loses her clothes faster than poop through a goose, and of course Ben Ng has a major infatuation for her. Tell me where in the rulebooks we are allowed to see psycho’s rape and terrify mentally handicapped women? I tell ya, this film has no limits, no shame and…well you just have to see it to believe it.

I posted this for the sake of completeness since we already had Chinese Torture Chamber Story I uploaded, but this movie has NOTHING to do with the original. I guess that's how HK Cat III Cinema does things. The only resemblence is the fact that both movies recount what happened to get them into court. In CTCS I, it revolves around trying to get out of the sentence, with CTCS II she's gotten the sentence and it's irreversible.

Wong Jing's original "Chinese Torture Chamber Story" was an undisputed classic of the Category III genre, and one of the few which enjoyed any kind of mainstream success or recognition. Given this, and the veritable swamp of similar sleaze films already available for discerning fans, the inevitable sequel had a lot to live up to in order to stand out from the crowd. Since to most casual viewers Category III films in general are indistinguishable slices of dubious, lamentable non-entertainment, this was somewhat of a tall order.
Thankfully, at least for those who cares, "Chinese Torture Chamber Story 2" is indeed a worthy follow up, and though it does not quite live up to the insane legacy of its predecessor, it is a far superior example of the genre, and one which enjoys pleasingly decent production values whilst plumbing new depths of depravity. Of course, this in itself should be enough to start alarm bells ringing in the minds of any sensible viewer, and rightly so, as "Chinese Torture Chamber Story 2" contains liberal lashings of debauchery and some truly shocking, odious scenes of gore and sexual violence.
Whilst the original film justified its content through some vague claims of being based on an actual case of adultery from ancient times, this salacious sequel seems instead to have been inspired by some of the 1970s Shaw Brothers classics such as "All Men are Brothers". Here, the story begins as Ma (Mark Cheng, who also played Category III villains in the likes of "Raped by an Angel" and "The Peeping Tom") is waylaid by a couple of wretched bandits en route to taking up the position of general in the capital city. The two would-be robbers, Cheung (Wai Lam, who actually starred in "All Men are Brothers: Blood of the Leopard") and Wong (Hung Yeung), turn out to be good men who have fallen on hard times, and after spending some quality time with them, Ma swears an oath of brotherhood, and that he will take care of them in the future.
Ma does seem to be a good sort, though during his stay he falls for Lotus (Yolinda Yam, giving a far more revealing performance than she did in John Woo's classic "Bullet in the Head"), who happens to be Wong's sister and the wife-to-be of the conveniently impotent Cheung. A few months later, the reformed bandits travel to the capital, and once more meet up with Ma, who is now the all-powerful governor. True to his word, Ma takes his friends under his wing, though it soon becomes clear that he is no longer the kind, friendly man they knew, and is instead now a cruel tyrant who is obsessed with crushing all who stand against him. Driven by an awful secret from his past and his lust for Lotus, Ma manipulates and ultimately imprisons his friends in a twisted bid to fulfill his political ambitions and dreadful lusts.
One of the more surprising things about "Chinese Torture Chamber Story 2" is that the story works rather well, and that it is, initially at least, a genuinely affecting tale of brotherhood. The early scenes of Ma bonding with the two bandits come across as quite heartfelt, and provide a nice echo of the films they imitate. Director Kin-Nam Cho (also responsible for the Category III classic "Chinese Erotic Ghost Story") keeps the mood of the first half quite light without resorting to an abundance of the genre's trademark lowbrow slapstick, and this gives the atrocities of the second half an impact often unfelt in similar Category III efforts. In this way, "Chinese Torture Chamber Story 2" does actually resemble a proper film, unlike so many of its brethren.
"Chinese Torture Chamber 2" does later venture into very dark territory, dealing with such themes as child abuse and barefaced betrayal, and the result of this is a very different prospect than the original, where the bloodletting had a cheerfully demented quality. In this film, the violence and sexual abuse, though at times still played for uncomfortable titillation, are genuinely unpleasant, and Cho throws in some fairly sickening scenes, even by the standards of the genre.
One sequence in particular, featuring a flashback to the assault of a child, intercut with the anal rape of a female cast member using a paint brush (complete with spurting blood), is sure to shock even the most jaded follower of Category III. This is just one of a whole catalogue of similar offenses, which firmly establish the film as one of the genre's most distasteful. However, in Cho's defense, as a result of the efforts made at establishing plot and character earlier in the film, and the fact that the proceedings are generally quite well directed, these scenes are far less gratuitous than in other films, though admittedly no less distasteful. Similarly, although the film is undoubtedly misogynistic, the male characters are subjected to equally frequent and barbaric humiliations and tortures, which is somewhat rare for the genre.
At the end of the day, no matter what is written about it, only fans of Category III cinema are likely to watch "Chinese Torture Chamber Story 2", which is probably just as well, as it would undoubtedly prove a traumatic experience for the uninitiated viewer. The film is definitely above average for its type, and is recommended for connoisseurs of the form, though with a slight warning not to expect the rather jovial nature of the original, and to be prepared for some genuinely unpleasant scenes.

Or will she succumb to the torture and confess to the false accusations charged against her???

I thought this movie was pretty funny and the main girl is damn sexy. She kinda reminds me of an asian Jennifer Love Hewitt. And, there is a sequence in the movie where two Kung-fu Masters duke it out using their special sex techniques. You can say there're Kung-fu f*cking...haha I crack myself up.

Naked Killer is easily one of the most infamous of the Hong Kong Category III films. The title alone launches it firmly in the Sexploitation realm. Filled with erotic tension, lesbian overtones and misogynistic idiocy…the film is anything but the sleaze fest one may think. Naked Killer is an Action film first and foremost, with dolled up Asian beauties thrown in for effective gloss. The outfits, the brazen looks and the cleavage is enough to keep most viewers riveted to the screen. The action sequences are first-class, and the characters are completely over the top. What’s wrong with homicidal, sex kittens who like it both ways!!!.. Woof!

Naked Killer is a supremely twisted film that deserves to be at the top of the Sexploitation ladder. Surprisingly it manages this without a naked tit or butt to be seen. However, don’t let this dissuade you. Chingmy Yau is as delicious a creature as you’ll ever see, and her outfits had my imagination working over-time…the entire film and long after.

This is one of the best B-movies movies you’ll ever see. And talk about a wicked, uncompromising ending.

For out and out crazy and unpredictable films, this HK Cat III films is one of the best…or one of the worst (it’s all in the way you look at it). It’s a sexploitation, horror, crime mystery flick that throws in a good deal of slapstick comedy too. Basically trying to cover every genre there is, except for maybe westerns …the film is a romp. It’s confusing, pointless…mildly erotic and often gross and demented.

Highly recommended.

by Kozo: Though it shares three cast members with the inspired Chinese Torture Chamber Story, this period Category III comedy/drama/whatever is interminable and a good cure for those suffering from insomnia. Yung Hung is the madam of a brothel, which experiences hijinks when a new girl is brought in. Meanwhile, Kent Cheng spies on Yung bathing. Still, it's all good because Cheng bears unrequited love for Yung, which is a plot point that fails to make the film any better. Tsui Kam-Kong makes his usual appearance, which means halfway through the film to rape Yung Hung. Ugh. This piece of crap might deserve more derision if it weren't so incredibly uninteresting. If you need a Category III fix, there are a variety of other skanky features with which to occupy your time. Or, you could take up a new hobby, like fly fishing. (Kozo 1996)

"The film begins with the discovery of the aforementioned slaughter, and a dim-witted cop (Liu Kai Chi) trying to solve the case. His, shall we say, "unconventional" methods include having all the men in town masturbate into pots and his buxom deputy getting a vaginal exam so he can rifle through a doctor's files. As you might guess, this consitiutes the comedy portion of the movie. It's very loud, obnoxious and over-the-top; I normally don't like this style of comedy, but for some reason it works in Daughter of Darkness II and I found myself chuckling along. Around the half-hour mark, the movie switches into the softcore porn portion, as Liu discovers a mysterious stranger (Cheng Yim Lai) burying her husband, and she begins to tell him a story. Like a lot of softcore porn stuff, this part of the movie begins to wear thin after a while. Even though Cheng is pretty good-looking, once she takes off her clothes for the third or fourth time, the thrill starts to lose its' effect. Thankfully, at about a hour into the movie (despite how low-budget Daughter of Darkness II is, it does have some good pacing and editing), the slasher part of the movie kicks in as Cheng (ala I Spit on Your Grave) is kidnapped and raped, and then takes revenge on her attackers. There is some truly brutal stuff in this part; things that I had a hard time sitting through. Most notably, a scene where Cheng's privates are violently cleaned after the rape, and a shocking part where she performs an abortion on herself are some of the few scenes in cinema that make me cringe. It's stuff like this which makes recent so-called "horror" movies pale by comparison."

Personal Opinion of film: umm...just one thing the shower scene got me a little horny...hahahah.

personally i am not a big fan of sexploitation films, but this is just one of a few adult HK movies with themes and plots that i have in my HD. i've downloaded this awhile back off of some torrent sites just because of the "HK CAT III" tag. i'm more of an "erotic HK CAT III" fan. but i know there are others out there who are fans of sexploitation, so i thought of sharing this movie before i deleted it from my HD. anyways, don't hestitate to tell me what you guys think of the movie. enjoy!

Known in some places as Naked Killer 2, this rape/revenge tale from Wong Jing's factory only proves that the dollar is the bottom line. In reality, the only connection Raped by an Angel has with Naked Killer is the reunion of Chingmy Yau and Simon Yam, who both play new characters. The quality also takes a drop. While Naked Killer had over-the-top comedy and great action, Raped by an Angel has crap.
Mark Cheng stars as sweaty bad boy who becomes obessed with commercial idol Chingmy Yau. To have his way with her, he moves in next door and starts to befriend Chingmy's friend (Ng Suet-Man). Unfortunately, Mark gets a go at her before moving onto the main course, but not before he gets taken to court and tragedy strikes. Meanwhile, Chingmy starts dating a nice triad guy (Simon Yam), which accounts for thirty minutes of wasted life.
In truth, this Category III charmer is probably a suitable fix for those who dig this sort of thing, as it's sufficiently sick and has a few creative moments. The final act is especially inspired, but it's also irredeemably tasteless and politically incorrect. Not that anyone ever accused Wong Jing and Hong Kong films in general of being socially responsible. Like it says in the opening, the dollar is the bottom line, and Wong Jing and director Andrew Lau intend to milk this cow for all its worth. So we get nudity, trashy sex, lots of leering at Chingmy Yau's nubile form, and justice for our heroes. What we don't get is a film that transcends its exploitation roots, or the satisfaction of time well spent. (Kozo 1996)

The Eternal Evil of Asia is a HK Cat III film. It’s a low budget cheap, exploitative, smutty film filled with gore and boobs. As any great director knows, men can get excited watching paint dry as long as there is the promise of a pair of tits every five minutes. Or as Fred Olen Ray (Director of Evil Toon’s) so eloquently points out…”"nudity is the cheapest special effect going". Eternal Evil of Asia has all these outstanding features and more!

HK Cat III ghost stories are as common as maggots in a city dump and often just as offensive. However, all it takes is a sensationalist title and a picture of a half naked Asian girl on the cover and we misogynistic pigs lay our money down every time. Often the films don’t deliver; the promise of the DVD cover is the only excitement we get. Not so with Eternal Evil of Asia. Although the film has a number of poor moments the movie is filled with thrills, chills and boobs. The pace is good, the story simple but fluid and the cast are great. Ellen Chan is beautiful; and throughout the film I was forever wishing she would take her damned bra off. And boy, does the final scene deliver. Ms Chan surely goes on record for having one of the most prolonged and weird sex scenes in the history of cinema. Her outstanding features are on display and her acting is pretty fine too! Lily Chung (Daughter of Darkness) is cast as a white witch, but she stays clothed…which is a first! The guys in the cast are terrific and experienced HK Cat III veterans. Elvis Chu (Chinese Erotic Ghost Story) is a real dick…full pun intended.

The Eternal Evil Of Asia is well directed, often stupid, and a terrific example of sexploitation at it’s worse…um, no best! There is no artistic value, no deep meaning, but there’s lots of sex and sexual innuendo, and gore too. What more can you ask for?

…oh did I mention Ellen Chan is beautiful. She really is!

Crazy Love [HK Cat III]

Plain and simple: Loretta Lee is adorable. Her personality positively sparkles in this quirky coming of age / love story. Loretta's free spirited flight through parental and personal relationships is refreshing and often insightful. Don't be fooled by the gratuitous nudity, the film is far from fluffy...infact I thought it to be one of the better commentaries on the fickle misunderstandings that constantly occur between the sexes. If only all women were as perceptive and understanding as Loretta.

Without a doubt this is a great HK Cat III film with more than the average boobs and couplings. But the story is what counts here...and of course Loretta!

I was looking around website for some background information and apparently this movie went straight from film to home DVD. Never made the transition to the big screen at all. The beauties Sophie Ngan and Grace Lam make this movie what it is, so watch it for them .

Caught with his boss’s wife Kai San turns the ugly situation around and kills the husband, and wife, then escapes to South Africa where he works for 10 years as a cook. Working in a low level job and exploited by his employers Kai struggles with his perceived sense of inferiority. When the restaurant owner learns of a location out on the Serengeti plains where pork is sold cheap he and Kai travel to a village that is suffering from an outbreak of Ebola. That’s basically the premise to the story; what follows is an insane ride of extreme cinema…honestly I was unprepared for the contents of this film and I have to say it goes down as one of my all time favorite exploitation flicks.

The plot sounds horrific enough, but nothing is more evil and over the top insane than Anthony Wong’s performance. He lets go the reins and just runs with this one, giving us one of the great bad guy performances ever. Kai is loaded full with resentment and brooding anger. His mild mannered demeanor is paper-thin and can explode into violent and unrepentant anger. He is a true sociopath. However, matters get much, much worse after Kai contacts Ebola after screwing a village girl who is mere seconds away from dying from the virus.

As luck would have it, Kai is one of only 1 in 10,000,000 who can survive the virus and become a carrier. With absolutely no regard for human life he decides to go back to Hong Kong after committing another set of murders in South Africa. Back in his homeland Kai inadvertently begins to kill virtually everyone he comes into contact with.

Ebola Syndrome is full tilt on every level. Gratuitous nudity, sex, violence, gore and over-the-top acting are present throughout. Anthony Wong is the great chameleon of cinema…capable of any role there is nothing he will shy away from. Although I have yet to see him in a straight ahead romance, where he plays the lead role, I am positive he’d carry it off perfectly. In Ebola Syndrome he is insane and completely volatile. My god but some of the scenes are in such bad taste I could hardly believe what I was viewing…I just loved it.

Warning though…the film is a stomach turner and is not recommended for all audiences.
